BURNABY, BC - SFU Volleyball opened their season with a statement win yesterday, defeating No. 3 ranked St. Cloud State in straight sets (3-0) in front of a home crowd in the West Gym. The victory marks SFU's first home game of the season and their highest-ranked win since joining NCAA Division II.
"It's always nice to start the season with a win, especially against a quality opponent and in front of such a supportive home crowd. I'm proud of how we competed and it was a true team effort tonight," shared Head Coach

The Western Washington Volleyball Invitational continues today as the team travels to Bellingham, Washington, where they'll will face No. 4 ranked
San Francisco State at 4:30 pm. Tomorrow, September 6, they'll take on No. 11
Cal Poly Pomona at 1:30 pm, wrapping up a weekend of high-level competition.
