Bianca Te was her high school league's MVP this year and led her team to the top of the league in 2015. The 5-foot-7 libero also helped her club team to a second-place finish at the U17 BC Provincial Championships this past April and has been a provincial tournament all-star three years in a row. Academically, Te has earned the top 5 GPA in her class for the last five years and will be pursuing a Kinesiology major at Simon Fraser.
 
Schmidt: "We are looking forward to having Bianca continue a strong defensive tradition at SFU. Having older sisters who played, Bianca has been around the sport from a young age and it is evident in her ability to read the game. She is not only a great volleyball player but an excellent student and teammate as well."
