Abby Willett – Victoria, BC / Reynolds Secondary
Position: Middle Blocker
Height: 6'1"
Club Team: Victoria Volleyball Association
Schmidt: "Abby is an athletic middle blocker who uses her quickness and smarts to get the job done at the net. She is a force on both sides of the ball, consistently being an offensive threat for her team as well as a formidable blocker. Abby is not only a great player but an awesome student and teammate as well."

Abby Willett in an accomplished player who was named the 2018 Most Valuable Player of the Reynolds Secondary volleyball team. She played a key role in helping her team earn a third-place finish at the Vancouver Island AAAA Championships, where she was named a tournament all-star. Willett also was a member of Team BC U16 in 2016, winning a bronze medal at the Canada Cup, and Team BC Selects U18 with whom she won a gold medal.

As a club player, Willett has won two Provincial bronze medals (2016, 2018) and a silver medal (2017). Partnering with fellow SFU recruit Jocelyn Sherman, she won a bronze medal at the 2017 BC Beach Volleyball Provincials. She plans to major in Biomedical Physiology at SFU.

Why SFU? "I chose to come to SFU because the University has an excellent reputation for academics and athletics. I am excited to be able to play volleyball for amazing coaches and with such a talented group of players."
