Barb Robertson Endowment

Let's Make A Difference - Together
Barb (Robbie) Robertson helped pave the way for female student-athletes at Simon Fraser University through her incredible passion and dedication to sport during her time with the program.

Barb was appointed head coach of the Women's Basketball Team in 1972, a position she held for 11 years. SFU's founding athletics Director Lorne Davies later promoted Robertson to women's athletic director, and she was instrumental in the initiative to allow female student-athletes full athletic scholarships.

In celebration of Barb's life, her friends and family have created The Barb (Robbie) Robertson Endowment for Women's Basketball at SFU.

Barb's endowment will support an annual award for a student-athlete on the SFU Women's basketball team in perpetuity. Her legacy will continue to enable these student-athletes to unleash their potential to become the next generation of great leaders.
