Megan Hawkins is joining SFU from one of the top club programs, KW Predators, in Ontario. "She is a highly-skilled outside hitter who provides a consistent presence in the back court with her serve receive and defense," said Schmidt. "She got to display her talents with the youth national team this past summer and we look forward to her bringing that experience into our gym on a daily basis."
 
"I am so excited to study on the beautiful campus and participate in student life," said Hawkins. "I look forward to studying in the Faculty of Education and to being a Red Leaf!"
