Langford: "Jessica is an athlete with a great touch and finish inside. She runs the floor well and has improved her three-point shot over the last year. She has the ability to blocks shots and rebounds well. Jessica's skill set, versatility and size will provide us with a great deal of flexibility."
A native of Langley, BC, Jessica Wisotzki is an honour roll student at Walnut Grove Secondary. She led her school to a second-place finish at the 2018 Fraser Valley Championship followed by a trip to the title game of the provincial tournament. Earlier in her junior season, Wisotzki recorded a 41-point performance in the final of the 2017 Tsumura Basketball Invitational. The 6-2 guard/forward plays club ball with VK.
Wisotzki is active in helping the younger generation find a passion for basketball. She took part in organizing an elementary school basketball camp for girls and worked alongside Allison McNeill in running a Basketball BC camp. She plans on majoring in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser with the goal of becoming a doctor.
Why SFU? "I chose SFU because it is an excellent academic institution as well as being the only NCAA school in Canada. Also, it is close to home where my family and friends can visit."
