Tessa May joins the SFU coaching staff after a stellar volleyball career with the Clan. Over her four years at Simon Fraser, May started all but two of 111 matches, after joining the program from Robert's Creek and Elphinstone Secondary School in Gibsons, BC. May led the Clan to four straight winning season while registering 1,184 kills and 409 blocks in her career. May was GNAC All-Conference First Team in 2018, 2017 and 2016 after being an Honourable Mention as a freshman in 2015. She was also selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America team for NCAA Division II in her senior season. Tessa has spent the past four years coaching both indoor and beach for the BCO Volleyball Club and has extensive experience coaching youth camps and clinics around the lower mainland.
