Biography

Eva Person comes to SFU as a multi-sport athlete who has competed on BC provincial teams in basketball and volleyball. Person has played on the senior team at Stelly's Secondary for four years, and in 2019, co-captained the team to the school's best overall finish at the Vancouver Island Girls Volleyball AAA Championship, finishing second, and earning the school's first Provincial Championship berth in 10 years. Person received a tournament all-star award. Person was also the starting point guard/forward on Stelly's senior basketball team where she averaged 30 points per game and 10 rebounds last year. She was named her school's top female athlete. An honour roll student in high school with a 96% average (4.0 GPA), Person is fluent in both French and English. She plans to study Biomedical Engineering at SFU.
 
Schmidt: "Eva has a high volleyball IQ and can run an up-tempo offense from pin to pin. As a left-hander, she is also a consistent offensive threat in the front row. Eva has an incredible work ethic that is demonstrated consistently both on the court and in the classroom."

Additionally, SFU is consistently ranked in the top 10 of universities in Canada for academics. I'm pumped to join the team this fall!"
