Lemoine-Sells hails from Winnipeg, where she had an outstanding career with the Collège Jeanne-Sauvé Olympiens. She captained the team in her senior year, and was recognized as a 4A conference all-star, a St. Vital tournament all-star, and a 4A graduating provincial all-star. She was also the No. 2-ranked player in Manitoba according to a Manitoba High School Athletic Association coaches' poll.

During two seasons at the University of the Fraser Valley, Lemoine-Sells amassed a 0.220 hitting percentage as an outside hitter and earned Canada West All-Rookie team recognition in her freshmen season. At SFU, Lemoine-Sells plans to study Criminology.
