Abdou: “Zach was a late addition to our recruiting class and by all reports may be the hidden gem of the class. Many of the top Washington high school coaches feel that he is underrated and can be a successful college wrestler right away.”
A key member of a strong Central Valley Bears high school team, Stratton came in third-place at the 2019 Washington State Championships. Having accomplished the same feat as a junior, his career record finished at 92-15.
Stratton placed first at both the Rollie Lane Invitational and the Clearwater Classic this past season, and he also qualified for a second consecutive Tri-State Championship. He plans to study business at SFU.
Why SFU? “I chose SFU because I thought that it would be a great place to spend the next four years learning and competing to the best of my abilities.”
