Box Score Nampa, ID – The Simon Fraser University women's soccer team couldn't top the Crusaders on the road Saturday, dropping the game 3-0.
Sierra Leung (Coquitlam, BC) led the Clan with three shots on the afternoon, but SFU was unable to put a ball past NNU goalkeeper Daniele Ortiz who made four saves to shut the visitors out.
The Clan had a season high 12 shots in the match, and goalkeeper
Priya Sandhu (Surrey, BC) made three saves.
SFU opened with speed, flanking the field and forcing Ortiz to make two saves less than 20-minutes into the game.
The Clan defence had a strong half as well, turning away the Crusader's seven first period shots, as the teams would head to the change rooms with a 0-0 score.
In the second half SFU kept up the momentum on the offence, with eight shots in the period, but the Crusaders also turned up their effort in the Clan's end, piecing together three second half goals.

th minutes, to put them up by three.
SFU continued to press despite the deficit, but were unable to finish, resulting in the 3-0 loss.
With the loss the Clan fall to 2-4 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, and 2-8 on the regular season.
SFU will look to get back in the win column next Thursday, October 9 against Saint Martin's.
