SEATTLE, WA – Four players scored in double figures but it wasn't enough as the Simon Fraser University Clan lost 89-76 to No. 22 ranked Seattle Pacific Falcons in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's basketball game Thursday in Seattle, WA.
It was the second loss in a row to a nationally ranked opponent for the Clan, who dropped an 86-66 decision to No. 3 ranked Alaska Anchorage on Saturday.
With the victory Seattle Pacific snapped a two game losing streak and moved into a second place tie with Western Washington in the conference, both with 7-3 records. SPU is 15-3 overall.
Simon Fraser sits in fourth place with a 6-4 record, 10-8 overall.

Katie Lowen led the Clan with 19 points while senior forward
Erin Chambers, who leads the NCAA in scoring with 23 points per game, had 16. Junior guard

Meg Wilson had 15 points apiece. Wilson also pulled down nine rebounds
Simon Fraser gave up 48 first half point and trailed 48-36 at the break. The Falcons pushed the lead to 21 points, 67-46, with 12 minutes to go, before the Clan came storming back.
"We never quit and we showed some grit in the second half but defensively we had trouble again," said Clan coach
Bruce Langford. "We need to develop better defensive chemistry by talking to each other and rotating to help each other."
Simon Fraser, which leads the conference in made three-pointers, was 8-of-15 on three-pointers in the second half when they were playing catch-up. The Clan was 11-of-30 from beyond the arc for the game. Roberts was 4-of-6 while Lowen was 4-of-9.
Seattle shot 37-for-64 (57.8%) from the field, including 5-for-11 (45.5%) from the three-point line. Simon Fraser was a combined 28-for-64 (44.4%) from the field.
Seattle Pacific was led by guard Aubree Callen, the No. 7 scorer in the GNAC who averages 14.6 ppg, who scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Guard Suzanna Ohlsen, No.3 in the GNAC averaging 17.3 ppg, had 21.
The Falcons won both games against SFU this season, marking the first season sweep of the Clan since 2010-11, the year SFU joined the GNAC and became the first Canadian school in the NCAA.
There are eight games remaining in the conference schedule. Next up for the Clan is a road game Saturday against Montana State Billings beginning at 6 PM PST.
The Clan returns home for games Thursday, Feb. 5 against Central Washington (7 PM tip-off) and on Saturday, Feb. 7 against Northwest Nazarene with a special 1 PM tip-off.
