HILO, HAWAI'I – Simon Fraser University played to a 110-minute scoreless tie with the University of Hawaii at Hilo in an NCAA Division II women's soccer match Thursday.
One game after scoring three goals for the first time in five years, Simon Fraser fired 24 shots at Hawaii Junior goalkeeper Jenna Hufford but could get one past her. Hufford was busy in the goal for the Vulcans, making 18 saves with six coming in each half of regulation, four in the first OT and a pair in the final 10 minutes.
Offensively, Simon Fraser outshot UH Hilo 24-4 overall and 18-2 in the goal. The Clan also took the corner kick tally, 14-5.

SFU plays another game Saturday against Hawaii Pacific before returning home to open its Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule with a road game at Seattle Pacific on Sept. 19.
