MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Simon Fraser football team lost 42-3 at Western Oregon Saturday afternoon in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest in Monmouth.

Sophomore placekicker Kristie Elliott scored SFU's only points on a 28-yard field goal, as the Wolves held the visitors' offence in check.

The successful kick came with 4:21 left before halftime. Down 19-0, Elliott converted on her field goal attempt from 28 yards out. It capped off a drive that saw SFU (1-6, 0-3 GNAC) move the ball 74 yards on 13 plays.

Western Oregon (3-5, 2-2 GNAC) scored 20 points in the second quarter, and took a 27-3 advantage going into the mid-game break. The Wolves added another 15 in the third to put the game away.

SFU forced a missed field goal from WOU to open the fourth quarter. The team then took over possession and advanced the ball into Wolves' territory, but couldn't convert on a fourth-and-eight from the WOU 38-yard line.
