On a rain-soaked Halloween evening, the Simon Fraser University volleyball team delivered a performance sweeter than candy, securing a decisive 3-0 victory over the Saint Martin's University Saints in the West Gym. The match concluded with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, and 25-11.
Leading the charge for SFU was
Davida Hill, who achieved a season-high 11 kills with an impressive hitting efficiency of .688.
Macyn Unger contributed significantly on defense with 12 digs, while the team as a whole posted a hitting efficiency of .382 and served up 10 aces.
"Our team did a great job from the service line tonight, and we had contributions from a lot of different players," said Head Coach
Gina Schmidt. "The serving pressure allowed our block and defense to create some great opportunities in transition."
With this victory, SFU Volleyball maintains its position as the top-ranked team in the GNAC conference. The team will look to build on this success when they face the Western Oregon Wolves at home on Saturday, November 2.
