Fairbanks, AK — SFU's volleyball team faced the University of Alaska Fairbanks team on Thursday, November 21 in a hard-fought away game. Despite a strong opening set with a 25-19, the Read Leafs fell short, losing 1-3 to the Nanooks (25-19, 12-25, 23-25, 22-25).
SFU's
Brooke Dexter led the offense with 12 kills, while
Jocelyn Sherman and
Nina Kovacevic followed closely with 10 kills each. On the defensive front,
Macyn Unger had a great performance, contributing 18 digs.
Although the match ended in a loss, the team showcased moments of resilience against the Alaska Nanooks. SFU's determined team goes on to face the University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves in Anchorage this Saturday, November 23.
