On the men's side, Simon Fraser University (SFU) faced tough competition, finishing the tournament with a 0-3 record. Saint Martin's University emerged as the standout team, going undefeated with a 3-0 record, thanks to their high-octane offence and solid 2-3 zone defence, which proved challenging for their opponents.

The SFU Women's Basketball team performed commendably, ending the tournament with a 2-1 record. The Red Leafs took on the University of Tampa in the tournament's final game. The University of Tampa  —a team that reached the Elite 8 in the previous NCAA DII National Tournament—  dominated the game, led by Zoe Piller, who scored an impressive 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while shooting 12-14 from the field. Despite a strong effort from SFU's Sophia Wisotzki, who recorded 29 points and three steals, the team struggled against Tampa's defence, effectively limiting SFU to just 6-of-29 shooting from beyond the arc.
