The Simon Fraser University Red Leafs women's wrestling team squared off in an intense dual against the Adams State Grizzlies from Colorado, ultimately claiming a decisive victory. The 31-9 win at the SFU West Gym not only marked a dominant performance but also secured the Red Leafs their second consecutive RMAC Sports Women's Wrestling regular season championship with a perfect 4-0 record in conference duals.

At 117 pounds, SFU's
Maddie Mackenzie came out aggressive against the Grizzlies' Rylie McCabe and earned a technical fall in just 1:12, establishing control early in the match. In the 124-pound bout, Adams State's Bella Devoto put up a hard-fought effort against SFU's
Madisyn Grof, but Grof came out on top with a 5-2 decision.

At 131 pounds,
Ella Finding faced Adams State's Abril Montes and made quick work of her opponent, securing a technical fall in just 33 seconds. The 145-pound match saw Brisa Salas challenge SFU's
Amelia Lucas, but Lucas pinned her opponent in a swift 42 seconds to extend the Red Leafs' lead.

The 160-pound bout featured
Lene-Marie McCrackin of SFU against Abby Smith, with McCrackin defeating Smith by pinfall at 1:43. At 180 pounds,
Paige Maher squared off with Adams State's Abigail Wold, and despite Wold's efforts, Maher secured a technical fall victory in 42 seconds.

The final bout at 207 pounds saw SFU's
Julia Richey face Adams State's Brook Newton. Richey dominated the match, pinning Newton at the 28-second mark to seal the Red Leafs' dominant victory.
