8/27/2025 10:02:00 AM

BURNABY, BC – Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame inductee Nick Dasovic is returning to Vancouver and rejoining the Simon Fraser University (SFU) Men's Soccer coaching staff.

Dasovic returns to SFU as Assistant Men's Soccer Coach after previously coaching the team in 2018. With a distinguished career as both a professional player and coach, and as one of the few Canadian coaches to hold a UEFA Pro License, he brings a wealth of international experience and expertise. He joins SFU after most recently coaching with Detroit City FC.

"I am so thrilled to benefit from Daso coming home," shared Head Coach Clint Schneider. "He is one of the top coaches our country has produced and is top person. He lives and breathes football, and his expertise will be an enormous benefit to our soccer program and the student athlete experience."

Dasovic is no stranger to the current coaching staff, having previously coached Assistant Coach Kevin Harmse during his time with the U20 Canadian National Team and Toronto FC.

After opening preseason play last week, SFU Men's Soccer takes on Fraser Valley this Saturday, August 30 at 6pm at SFU Stadium at Terry Fox Field. Dasovic's return, along with a recruiting class of 14 new players, launches what promises to be an exciting season.
