Spence led SFU in overall points per game and finished 10th in the GNAC in scoring with 13.7 ppg. He also finished fourth in the conference in steals with a 1.4 average and was one of the top three-point shooters, with a ,401 average.
Prior To SFU: A 6-foot-1, 180-pound point guard from Bill Crothers Secondary School (BCSS), Spence joins former high school teammate Tyrell Lewin at SFU. Spence averaged 14.3 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3.2 steal a game his senior year at BCSS. Spence played three years with the Senior Boys Prep Basketball Team and in his first year, the prep team was considered the best in Canada. Spence also excelled at football and track and field in high school.
