Simon Fraser University Athletics

Personal: Elisa, who goes by Homer among friends, enjoys watching Netflix in her spare time, especially Gossip Girl. She is a multi-athlete as she played many different sports growing up. Her favourite movie is Mean Girls and her favourite food is steak, done medium-rare. She also enjoys her pasta "Al Dente".

Highschool:  Homer attended Handsworth Secondary School in North Vancouver, where she was very successful in both academics and basketball. She received honour roll with distinction in all five years and captained a very successful basketball team. She led her team to the gold medal at the Telus Classic Tournament and third in the Top Ten tournament. During her senior year, she received second team all-star honours in the provincial tournament and an all-star nod in both the Top 10 tournament and Telus Classic. A key piece to her success in high school was her ability to get to the free throw line and then followed by clutch free throw shooting. During the summers, she played with 3D basketball. 

University: Homer is enrolled in the Beedie School of Business at SFU and earned a 3.72 GPA in her first year. She decided to medical red shirt in her freshman year due to a stress fracture in her foot, but has now returned stronger than ever factoring in off the bench for the Clan.
