Cross border rivals wll meet tonight for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championship when the Simon Fraser University women's basketball team meets Western Washngton.
The Clan wlll be looking for revenge as SFU met Western Washington in last year's championship game, with the Clan falling to the Vikings.
It wll be the third meeting of the season between the two sides as SFU took the first meeting in Burnaby before WWU won in the season fiinale a week ago today.
SFU finished in fourth in the GNAC and defeated Seattle Pacific and first place Montana State Billngs to reach the final while last Saturday's wiin earned a first round bye for Western Washington before they took care of Alaska Anchorage last night to reach the final.
The regional rankings tell a different story however as in the most recent NCAA poll this week, Simon Fraser is ranked third while Western Washington is ranked ninth in the west region.
The first matchup of the season was the conference opener for both teams while the second was the conference finale.
Coming off a 5-1 non-conference schedule, the Clan defeated Western on December 7 in the West Gym 62-58 before dropping the final game of the season 72-63.

Erin Chambers led the Clan in both meetings with the Vikings, scoring 27 and 23 points respectively whle
Marie-Line Petit led SFU on the boards in December with six rebounds and
Rebecca Langmead had nine last week.
The Clan will look to control the GNAC's third leading rebounder Sarah Hill who led the Vikings in both meetings with the Clan, leading all players in both times out, with eight and 18 boards respectively.
In addition to the teams leading scorer Katie Colard SFU will key on Marcel Pounds and Jenni White who led WWU in the teams first two meetings against SFU.
The Clan have been getting a strong team effort all week at the GNAC Championship.
Petit stepped up with a career night on Wednesday scoring a career high 24 points, including 22 in the second half in a game that saw five players reach double figures in scoring.
Against MSUB, Chambers reclaimed her position as scoring leader netting 22 points but again, five players reached double digits as
Katie Lowen had 17,
Meg Wilson had 13 while
Chelsea Reist and Petit had 12.
Petit also had six assists while Wilson put in a stellar defensive effort with four assists.
