SPOKANE – The No. 4 ranked Simon Fraser University women's wrestling team won three weight classes and finished second in another and that was enough to capture the women's team title at the Spokane Collegiate Open on Sunday at the Spokane Convention Centre.
 
Maddie Mackenzie (101), Alexia Seal (109) and Emily Cue (170) all won their weights to lead SFU. Top-ranked teammates Karla Godinez-Gonzalez (123) and Alyvia Fiske (155) did not wrestle on Sunday.
 
MacKenzie rolled through the lightest weight with five dominant technical fall victories to remain unbeaten this season. The freshman from Calgary is 8-0 to start.
 
Seal was equally as impressive. She had two 10-0 technical superiority wins and pinned one opponent 26 seconds into their match. Seal has started the season 11-1 and is one of the top wrestlers in her weight class.
 
Emily Cue, ranked No. 2 nationally in the 170-pound weight class, registered two pins, 33 seconds into her first match and 2:30 into the final one. In between, Cue had to battle for a 4-1 decision over Olivia Robinson (Eastern Oregon University). Cue defeated Robinson by technical fall earlier this season at the Mike Clock.
 
Julia Ritchey was second at 191-pounds going 4-1 in the weight class.
