BURNABY, B.C. – Simon Fraser Red Leaf
Marie-Éloïse Leclair bettered her own Great Northwest Athletic Conference record in the women's outdoor 200 meters en route to a third-place finish in the event at the Stanford Invitational Saturday in Stanford, California.
She ran a time of 23.87 seconds, lowering the previous GNAC best of 23.88. The sophomore from Candiac, Que., is the ninth-ranked 200-m sprinter in NCAA Division II. After this weekend, Leclair owns five of the six GNAC sprint records (indoor 60, 200, 400, outdoor 100 and 200). She won the 100 Friday at Stanford with a time of 11.45.
Junior
Megan Roxby (North Vancouver, B.C.) moved to third in the NCAA Div. II rankings in the women's 800 meters, after winning her section at Stanford in a career-best two minutes 9.34 seconds. She is also ranked sixth in the 1,500 after her performance on Friday.

Leclair teamed up with sophomore
Erika Binder (Calgary), sophomore
Claire Bosma (Richmond, B.C.), and freshman
Emma Cannan (Kelowna, B.C.) to complete the 4x400-meter relay in 3:47.65, the eighth-best time in NCAA Div. II so far this season.
The men's 800 meters featured a number of excellent SFU results.
Senior
Jordan Schmidt (Langley, B.C.) was third in his section after crossing the finish line in 1:50.43, a personal best. Sophomore
Aiden Good (Carstairs, Alta.) was just behind Schmidt in fourth (a career-best 1:51.87). Schmidt and Good are now ranked eighth and 25th in Div. II, respectively.
Junior
Charlie Dannatt (North Vancouver, B.C.) was fifth (1:50.95) in a closely contested section where the top six runners were separated by less than a second. Dannatt is 11th in the Div. II rankings.
