Glen Jackson (No. 88) was a star linebacker for SFU in the 1970s. In 1973, a quick-thinking sports information officer posed some football players in a meat packaging plant. They became known as the Slaughterhouse Seven, perhaps SFU's best-ever front seven defensive players. Glen, a product of Notre Dame High School, was at the heart of this defence.

Following his collegiate career Glen was a territorial exemption by the BC Lions and he played his entire 12-year CFL career with the team. Six times he was named a CFL Western Conference All-Star and in 1985, Glen and the Lions won a Grey Cup. Glen was selected to the Lions 50th anniversary Dream Team and he is a member of the BC Lions Hall of Fame.
