Sue Melody-Logan had an incredible start to her collegiate swimming career, winning a record five individual national titles and being named Outstanding Performer at the 1982 NAIA National Championships. Sue captured titles in the 100 metres freestyle, 200m freestyle, 1500m freestyle, 100m butterfly, and 200m backstroke.  
 
The following year, in 1983, Sue was again named Outstanding Performer at the national championships after winning four national titles. She was named NAIA Female Athlete of the Year.  
 
Between 1982 and 1985, Sue captured 12 individual national titles and led SFU to three national championships. Twice she was chosen SFU Female Athlete of the Year. Sue is a member of the NAIA Hall of Fame.
