Chris Rinke won back-to-back NAIA national titles at 177-pounds in 1982 and 1983. As a senior, Chris compiled a 47-2 record, which at the time was the best record in the history of the SFU wrestling program. He finished with a 123-27-4 career record over four years from 1979-1983.  
 
Following his senior year, Chris won a bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, his first of two Olympic Games. The Port Coquitlam, B.C., native experienced success internationally while still a student-athlete, winning the freestyle middleweight weight class at the 1982 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the 1983 Pan American Games.  

Chris 
is a member of the NAIA Hall of Fame and the Canadian Amateur Wrestling Hall of Fame.
